Central Walk’s six levels—four retail and two parking—are located under a new 425,000-square-foot public park/green roof which connects the new City Hall and Convention Center. To showcase the retailers, a promenade along the perimeter opens onto restaurants and outdoor dining, while staircases link the park to the terraces. Large clerestory windows bring daylight into the floors below, reducing energy dependence. The center is destined to become Shenzhen’s premier retail and entertainment destination in the heart of the new central business district.
