April 07, 2010 - International architecture and design firm Callison announces the opening of the newest Landmark Home Centre in Dubai.
The store evolves the brand and infuses a sense of warmth and comfort while creating clear merchandise zones. The zones – inspire, create, live, play and retreat – reflect the many facets of our home lives.
“Your home has spaces that inspire you to create and places that comfort and calm you,” said Callison Director Doug Shaw. “The design strategy was to create spaces within the store that evoke these same experiences and feelings, which are reflected in the tagline for the store, ‘Find Your Home in Ours’.”
Creating an environment that is more than just a showcase for furniture, the design focuses on the notion that the customer can turn a spare room into a sanctuary; a child's bedroom into a world of imagination; a dining room into a family gathering spot.
“Working with Callison on this rebranding concept was mutually beneficial,” said Aarti Jagtiani, head of strategic planning and retail design for Landmark Home Centre. “The design team led by Shaw elevated our brand with this repositioning and the new store has been exceptionally well-received by our customers.”
The journey through the store is punctuated by inspiring visual merchandise displays. Dramatic lighting, display fixtures and creative merchandise groupings all reinforce Landmark Home Centre as a style authority as well as a destination for great value. The color palette exudes a sense of warmth and comfort and serves to highlight the merchandise while the lighting has been softened and focused to bring your eye to the merchandise.
Callison recently designed the first international Bloomingdale’s and Cole Haan locations, also in Dubai.
