May 27, 2010 - International architecture and design firm Callison announces worldwide department store openings and an abundance of projects in progress.
“This year, we’ve seen a significant project opening for an American retailer on international shores with the debut of Bloomingdale’s Dubai,” said Principal Tom Herndon. “It represents an anticipated benchmark for future international expansion of the globally-recognized brand. In addition, Callison is engaged in other notable store concepts for Printemps, 51 East and Rustan’s. The work completed and in progress for these top-tier retailers represents the combined expertise Callison and Callison’s RYA Studio have in retail and department store design.”
Recognized as an industry leader in retail design, Callison started its retail practice in 1974 with Nordstrom. To date, the firm has positioned and repositioned more industry-leading brands than any other design firm, with more than 75 million retail square feet of success and counting.
